Schema!!!

Ask your child what schema is! We are talking Reading strategies and today I told them good readers look at the cover and try to figure out what the book is about.  We think about everything we know about that topic and that will help is figure out the words in the book. 

That is our schema. 

I told them your mind would be  blown with how smart they are and might ask where your kindergartner went because there is no way a kindergartner could know that! 

Help me out! Be dramatic!  Shock and awe would be appropriate:)
